Creative Industries 4.0 - Post 1

First reaction to the topic:

Creative Industries 4.0 seems to have an overall and very present idea of connectivity.

A visual representation of the four industrial revolutions and what they changed.
(SIMIO, 2018)

Digital technologies that currently exist in industry 4.0 includes 'Internet of Things', ' Big Data', 'Cloud Computing', and many more. The idea of connectivity is very relevant to these as there must be either physical, technological, or theoretical connection between computers, and connection between humans.

The internet is at the core of 4.0, as without it everything would be down to physical delivery and connectivity. The rapid speeds of downloading, uploading, and connection allow us to progress with work and technological developments, whilst leaving automated systems to do the grinding work with great efficiency.

(Medium, 2018)

The way industry 4.0 is integrating with the creative industries is very beneficial for the latter. Faster internet and connection speeds allows for much greater creative freedom. Cloud computing and connectivity and big data are two areas focused on in this advert from Microsoft:

(Microsoft, 2018)

The future of the creative industry with the advancing technology and industries means that in mere decades, connectivity speeds and big data analysis will be increased phenomenally. This will allow things such as AI, wearable technology, and bio-metric scanning to become a norm or be nearing commercial and private success.
