My concept revolves around the Marvel character and spider-Man villain, Otto Octavius aka Dr Octopus.
In the PlayStation 4 game 'Marvel's Spider-Man', the technology used for Otto to become the villain is what I am focusing on here.

The tentacles are neurologically integrated with Otto's nervous system, and are controlled by the villain just as he would control his human arms and legs. Extendable and strong, these prosthetic limbs would work well as replacements, but would improve upon standard human limbs vastly. They allow improved movement (including vertical climbing), increased reach, and enhanced adaptability.
My concept is a much simpler version of this, aimed at people with diseases or conditions (such as Parkinson's) that mean they cannot use their muscles the way their brain is wanting them to, and at amputees. Improving any life that would otherwise be difficult, these limbs would help with day-to-day living as well as luxury activities.
